Breath Token June 2017

A breath token is a breathing exploration that I develop for friends & clients and send out as a gift.

Let‘s place our hands over the navel and sense what happens beneath our palms. Once we‘re in tune with the breath movement, we move the hands away from the navel, with the inhale, the palms still facing towards us. Then we let the hands come back towards the navel on the exhale. here we wait until the next inhale comes by itself and our hands move outward again. When this coordination comes easily we can explore further. On the inhale let‘s sense the space between the palms of the hands and the navel. What amount of space feels right to us? Do we want to extend the hands further away or would we rather keep them closer to us. At the end of the exhale, we can imagine going inwards from the navel, going deeper, as if there were an echo to the exhale, and then we wait until the next inhale comes by itself again.

The benefits I experienced were:
centering
experiencing the breath pause
being with oneself
differentiating between muscle tones in the belly
sensing the breath movement, directly and indirectly
